is this trend for you: orange toque

It’s a frustrating time right now because of all the fucking bullshit sales clouding my judgment and my email inbox. I did find clothing and shoes online that I did want to purchase, but purchase I did not because the sales don't benefit me, it benefits the corporations. I purchased groceries instead with the majority of them fruit benefiting my bowels!

When I had to go explore the world to purchase persimmons and pineapples, I stumbled upon a trend. And I am really good at spotting trends because Toronto makes it so damn easy for me. The trend is easy. It’s not fussy or contrived. It’s the orange beanie, hat, or colloquially speaking in Canada, the toque.

the game to play this season

Carrie Bradshaw once asked Mr. Big for a loan because she couldn’t afford the down payment for her apartment. She was wearing Chanel when she made the request, interestingly enough. He gave her a cheque and she ripped it up over dinner with her friends. What she then likes to do is try things on for fun, with Miranda, but not actually buy anything.

No one has given me a cheque for a down payment and I don’t own anything by Chanel. What I do have in common with Carrie is that I, too, try things on for fun. While there’s no fun in having a full shopping cart with absolutely zero dollars, I can still play with the idea.

What's in the bag??

party time with stella mccartney

Did you hear the news across the Atlantic Ocean? Menswear has a new label and it’s called Stella McCartney. Admittedly, Stella McCartney has been designing clothes under her eponymous label since 2002, providing women with garments that are not fussy and uncontrived.

McCartney debuted her spring ‘17 menswear collection on November 10 at Abbey Roads Studio in London, England. The location was a homage to her father and the inspirational men in her life. The fete brought along a roster of celebrity guests from M.I.A. to Kate Moss, who snacked on pizza with boxes emblazoned with the Stella McCartney logo.

who is sampha?

On Saturday night, Solange performed for the first time on Saturday Night Live as the musical guest. The singer/songwriter performed two singles - Don't Touch My Hair and Cranes in the Sky - off of her third album, A Seat at the Table. She was ethereal, graceful and in the tumultuous U.S. of America, gives zero fucks. She sported head-to-toe white looks that coordinated with her backup singers and band members. Rebellion was stated by the silver Proenza Schouler boots.

The shining star, akin to Barb from Stranger Things, was Sampha.
